The Alderney Angling Festival attracts around 150 competitors from the UK, Jersey, Guernsey and Alderney, each hoping to land the biggest fish, or the one that got away last year and break another British record.
Teams and pairs of anglers each year take to the rocky shore line of Alderney to compete for the largest catch, within a number of categories.
